Jaguaine silk - is a luxurious and unique fabric known for its beautiful sheen and soft drape. It is made from the cocoons of the giant silk moth, Hyalophora columbia, which is native to the rainforests of Central and South America, including parts of Nigeria. The jaguain silk moth is significantly larger than the Bombyx mori moth, which produces the more common mulberry silk, and its cocoons yield a thicker and coarser fiber. Despite its coarser nature, jaguaine silk is surprisingly soft and supple when woven into fabric. It has a naturally golden or brownish hue, and it can be dyed in a wide range of colors. The fabric is also known for its excellent durability and resistance to wrinkles.
